Trade unions, shop stewards & employer associations

At work, one worker alone has a small voice, but workers who stand together have a loud one. In this lesson we see what a good manager does to keep workers satisfied, why workers and managers gain when they co-operate, and what happens when workers join together in a trade union. We define a trade union and its four types, meet the shop steward at the workplace, learn about closed shops and single union agreements, see why workers join, and finish with the employers' own team — the employer association.
