Neutralisation

When an acid meets a base, they cancel out — that's neutralisation, and it makes a salt. Learn the ionic equation H⁺ + OH⁻ → H₂O, the four ways acids react with alkalis, metal oxides, hydroxides and carbonates, the test for carbon dioxide, and how to write and balance the equations.
