Production, productivity, methods of production & scale

How are goods and services actually made, and how do we tell whether a business is efficient? In this lesson we separate two words that learners always mix up — production and productivity — and work productivity out on the board. We look at what lifts productivity, at the real effects of HIV and AIDS, and at the full contribution of women and people living with impairment. Then we meet the three methods of production, see how technology has changed them, and learn what happens to costs as a business grows.
