- Identify the correct SI units and derived units for physical quantities.
- Understand scientific notation (standard form) and state units in acceptable ways (e.g. m/s, m per s, ms⁻¹).
- Explain and use the sub-multiple prefixes: kilo, deci, centi, milli and micro.
- Explain and use the relationship between length, surface area and volume, and their units, on metric scales.
