Simple farm tools & machinery

Narrated lesson · press play

On every farm, big or small, the work gets done with tools. In this lesson we meet the simple hand tools a farmer uses every day — the saw, hammer, screwdriver, file, spanner, knapsack sprayer and the digging tools — learning what each is for and how to care for it. We weigh the good and bad points of hand tools for cultivation, then meet the big machines: the plough, harrow, planter and combine harvester.
