A farmer near Rundu hears that a new drought-tolerant maize seed could double her harvest — but she has never seen it, doesn't know how to plant it, and is afraid to risk her only field on something strange. Who will teach her, show her, and stand with her until she can do it herself? In this lesson we meet that helper — the agricultural extension service — and learn who runs it in Namibia, how it reaches farmers, and why the farmers' own participation decides whether it works.
